Pulling Power

Matt. 4:25 And great crowds followed him from Galilee, the Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, and from beyond the Jordan.

One of the things that really strikes me about Jesus is this - the crowds flocked after Him.  I mean, He had to preach out of town in a field or on a mountain - because the towns weren't big enough for all the people to be able to listen to Him.

I can just imagine - all these towns and fields - shops and factories - empty.  Where is everyone…well, this Jesus is up there on the hill speaking, and they've all gone to listen.

Can't have been good for the economy. 

Jesus had pulling power.  He still does.  There's something that happens when you meet this Jesus - which I simply can't put into words.  I remember when I finally came face to face with Him - when in a very real sense I looked Him in the eye for the first time - I was just, I don't know, drawn to Him.  A truth, a reality, a love, a hope, a promise, a future…..and eternity.  How can I put it?
