Dear Ones,
Welcome not only to a new week but also to a new month. You know,
just like any Father, the Lord is always pleased when His children pay
attention to what He has to say. We’re blessed to have you join us.
In looking ahead to this month’s reading we cover a lot of Bible
history, but it’s not boring. On the contrary, this is a vivid, action-packed
drama. We just saw God open up the Red Sea and Israel divinely saved from
Pharoah’s wrath. Now God outlines His blessings for obedience and curses for
disobedience; Joshua stands at the edge of the Promised Land ready to advance
and conquer. God displays His miraculous power over and over. Then there’s
Gideon with his select few, victorious over thousands. And if you don’t believe
God has a sense of humor, read the Book of Judges.
The next thirty days promise to be a breathtaking, blood-tingling
experience. So let’s praise the Lord together for what He plans to teach us
these next few weeks.
