To our faithful readers and radio family,
This week we experience one of the most beautiful “reads” of the Bible – The Gospel of John, the “Good News of Jesus.” Did you know that “Gospel” means “Good News” in Greek?
The theme of Jesus as ‘Divine’ is clearly set out as we are told In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (1:1). Possibly the most well known verse of the Bible is found in this Book – John 3:16. The key word, believe, is found 98 times in this Gospel. The words eternal life are found 35 times.
John writes that Jesus is the Creator of all things who had existed from all time. He calls Him the Bread of Life who satisfies our spiritual hunger and the Living Water who satisfies our thirst. He also calls Jesus the Light of the World and the Good Shepherd.
We are told that John’s purpose in writing this Book is found in 20:30-31. As a Child of God when you read this Book we pray that you will come into a closer and deeper relationship with the Savior. If you are not already a Child of God, like Paul, we say: These are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have live through His Name (20:31).
God is so good! Let us praise His name together!
