To our faithful readers and radio family,
The people stand poised at long last to enter the land that God had promised them. Moses wisely reviews their history, their laws, and most importantly, their relationship with the Holy One of Israel. He knew dark days would come. He wanted them to remember the Light of the love of God, the promise of His presence, and the reality of His past deliverances.
Moses encourages the people to remember the commands. Teach them . . . talk of them when thou sittest . . . when thou walkest . . . . bind (tie) them . . . upon thine hand . . . write them upon the posts of thy house (6:7-9).
Guidelines for a King are outlines (17:14-20); gifts for the priests and Levites (18:1-8); and a call to holy living (18:9-14).
God promises to fight for you against your enemies, to save you (20:3-4). let’s praise His Name together as we read how the promise of God is fulfilled.
