“Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go: thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God” (John 6:68-69).
In looking at this passage we first see a departure — some were leaving Jesus.
Next we see a revelation — one would betray Him.
Then there is a confession — “thou hast the words of eternal life.”
There were those who followed Jesus for the loaves and fishes. They were interested only in what material benefit they might receive in following Him, and so they eventually went away. How good to see those with genuine faith who have come to understand there is no where else to go: Jesus is the only Savior and they gladly rest in Him!

“These are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name” (John 20:31).
"Repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name among all nations" Luke 24:47 We are to preach repentance and remission of sins. The two go hand in hand. Both repentance and forgiveness are to be preached only in His name and to be preached among all nations.
