His Pasture. His People.
Psalm 95:1-11 O come, let us sing for joy to the LORD, Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation...
Why can we be thankful and give praise (95:1-7)? What is the warning in this psalm (95:8-11)? How does giving thanks keep you from a hard heart?
Our reading today, Psalm 95, is a call for us to praise the Lord in and with song. Now being a singer and musician, I love that idea. But I also love the ways the Psalmist lays out God's greatness and goodness for us. Verse 7 was my favorite. "For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand."
So what does being the people of His pasture and a sheep in His hand mean to and for you? How does knowing this influence your praise (with or without song) of the Lord today? Tami W.
