The little Book of Colossians is a letter that Paul writes to the believers in Colossae. Now apparently Paul has never met these people (see verses 3 and 9), but that doesn't stop him from praying for them and encouraging them in their walk with the Lord. For me, verses 9 and 10 were the most encouraging and powerful because they boldly put before us what our lives should look like as a believer in Christ. These verses delivered the message that as a Christ-follower we are never done growing. I love that because that means no matter where I'm at in my relationship with God, there will always be more I can learn and more I can do for Christ.
On a big picture level, how are you living out "bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God"? On a smaller scale, what's some of your "fruit"? How does bearing fruit teach you and move you closer to God? Tami W.
