Wisdom and Foolish Envy

References: Proverbs 24

It's easy to envy the people who don't play by the rules but still win, or to wonder why godly people just can't catch a break. Proverbs 24 and 37 both address the foolishness of envy, and the wisdom of accepting the mysterious ways of God. We'll see that we can be calm when the ungodly prosper because evil's triumph is only temporary and nothing happens outside the providence of God. We need the reminder that we're not here just to make the world a safer place, but to bring people to knowledge of God's salvation. Dr. Kroll shows us too that envy carries its own dangers as a subtle sin, a secret destroyer, and it interferes in our relationship with God.
