References: Proverbs 9
Proverbs uses the picture of two different women to describe the differences between wisdom and foolishness. This study looks first at Lady Wisdom, who plans and prepares for life, who seeks to do good to others, and exercises judgment and discernment. Lady Folly is seductive and undisciplined, a smooth, sweet and shameless talker, unfaithful and appealing to those who lack judgment, seeking to draw others into her sin and foolishness. As we learn to practice wisdom, we can protect ourselves from the temptations of Lady Folly, exercising moral sense, thinking before we act, guarding our hearts and determining to be faithful.
