There are two major methods used to interpret Bible prophecy. One view is called Preterism and it centers on the idea all the prophecy of the future has already been fulfilled on or prior to AD 70, when Jerusalem fell to Rome and the Jews were scattered. It's the opposite of futurism (that major Bible prophecies are still to be fulfilled in the future).
