While it sounds strange and old-fashioned, God wants a man to be the priest in his home. This means a man is to be the mediator with God on behalf of his family, to be God's representative to his family, leading in worship and confession, and praying or interceding for his family. This study focuses more on the aspect of prayer: praying for oneself (spiritual growth, godliness, accomplishing God's work, etc), praying for your children and grandchildren (their salvation, spiritual growth, service), and praying for your wife, an act which can heal bitterness and develop intimacy.
