Balancing Wealth and Integrity

References: Job 1

Job was a wealthy man but his material possessions didn't jeopardize his integrity before God. Job 1 catalogs his extensive wealth in livestock and employees. But Job maintained a balance; he ordered his priorities well. He began with his relationship with God, then care and leadership of his family, and the wealth came later. Job shows us that being prosperous had no bearing on whether or not he should be godly. With godliness first, the rest falls into its rightful place. Dr. Kroll also gives examples of other men who balanced wealth and integrity, some more successfully than others, showing us that it's possible to use the resources God gives, and maintain an honest life of integrity.
