In this study, Dr. Kroll challenges men to pick up their biblical role as disciplinarians. We'll see that discipline is not punishment but has teaching, direction and training as its goal. It's concerned with a child's future, not just his present actions. Discipline flows out of love, shaping the will, and it does not abuse. Dr. Kroll offers biblical examples of those who did (and did not) discipline well, and then practical guidelines including: don't discipline in anger or use the hand; exercise discipline in your own life as a "grown up"; vary your discipline to fit the needs of the situation; talk about it with your children; follow through on what you've discussed; and take your turn as a father to do the job.
