The popularity of the Harry Potter series is unprecedented in publishing history. Some are predicting Potter books may become more popular than the Bible. Speaking of the Bible, did you know some Christian Sunday School teachers are using the Harry Potter to teach the Bible and point people to Jesus? What does the Bible say about wizardry and witchcraft?
There are a number of people in the world today who believe mankind is entering into a whole new era. The pathway to higher consciousness, they say, is within the grasp of all those who are willing to pursue it. Is this thinking here to stay, or is it just a passing fad?
An interesting trend is occurring in our society today. The long held Judeo-Christian belief that human beings should concentrate on a God-centered focus for living, is now being replaced by the view that self-centeredness should be the ultimate goal for man. Is there any way to help understand this strange phenomenon?
If you can not accept the Bible literally about creation, at what point in the Bible can it be accepted? The Bible claims the fallen spiritual dimension is real and that it is an abomination to God. Can we believe this to be true? Or is such a view just old fashioned religion?
While evolutionists understand the importance of creation to Christianity, the same is not true for many Christians. Recently, a group of pastors signed a letter requesting evolution be presented to children in their district without challenge. They insisted the Bible and evolution can co-exist. What about Christian evolution?
It is true. There are many Christians who believe God used evolution. Did you know that evolutionists recognize that rejecting creation destroys the foundation of the Christian faith? They say if evolution is true, the Bible is a lie. Why then do Christians embrace evolution?
The Bible states that God created the heavens and the earth and everything in them. However, the question that many Christians have is how long did God take to do this. Was the creation something that occurred over hundreds of millions of years, or was it in a shorter period of time, as some maintain... a literal week?
When it comes to origins, there are three basic views – evolution, creation or God used evolution to create. So what about this view that the biblical creator used the Darwinian process of chance and time to bring all life into existence? Why do so many Christians accept this view? Is it biblically acceptable or is it a compromise?
Over the quarter century that I have been speaking on the topic of biblical creation, I have noticed some changes. Many churches that once boldly proclaimed the Genesis record are now claiming that God used evolution to create. What impact does this have on the gospel?
The Bible states if we commit our ways unto the Lord our paths will be established. The work that has begun for Understand The Times in the Philippines has happened just that way. We look forward with anticipation what lies ahead. Will you consider partnering with us?
The ministry opportunities in the Philippines are so great it is a huge task just to know where to begin. One of the areas we saw that was most evident was the need for children ministry. Today I will tell you about Pastor Paul and his ministry to the children of Olongopo.
Common sense dictates that a three-legged-stool has three legs. If the third leg is the faith sector, then what is meant by the faith sector? In the Philippines there are a lot of faiths. These faiths include the Roman Catholics and the cults? How will this work?
Have you heard about the P.E.A.C.E. plan? This idea, according to man, involves a three legged stool plan. Government and business are the first two legs. According to this plan, the third leg is made up the faith sector. What about the viability of this plan? Does it work?
Paul, the greatest witness for Jesus Christ who has ever lived, had a prison ministry. The Bible encourages Christians to go to the prisons and share the gospel for it is the gospel that sets the captives free. Today we will talk about prison ministry in the Philippines.
Millions of people live in squalor in the Philippines. Many who have the means to help don’t care. There are Bible-believing Christians in the Philippines who want to help. However, they don’t have the finances. Something must be done? Will you help?
I have traveled the world. Poverty exists everywhere. However in the Philippines the term poverty does not begin to describe the condition many people live in. The situation is not only hopeless it is a slam against the human race. Isn’t there something that can be done?
Let there be light! These words are familiar to those who love God’s Word. For me, this phrase means more than you could ever imagine. The Holy Spirit has inspired the ministry of UTT to be on the offense taking the light of the gospel to the world. Will you consider helping?
Understand The Times is an international ministry dedicated to proclaiming the gospel worldwide by being on the offense as well as the defense. Recently the door has opened to establish a ministry base in the Philippines. Will you consider being a part of our team?
My life as a Christian has been a journey. God has led the ministry of Understand The Times from place to place around the world using people and circumstances. Today I will tell you about how God used a handicapped man by the name of Michael Miller to establish a ministry in the Philippines. I know you will be blessed.
