State of the Nation: A Cracked Foundation (Part 2)
Wednesday, November 25, 2009
Which young person is more likely to hold non-Christian views of today's vexing cultural and moral issues: the one who regularly attended Sunday School as a youth, or the one who didn't? Believe it or not, a recent study showed it's the one who attended Sunday School! How is it that Sunday School could be hazardous to our children's spiritual health? Ken Ham joins us to explore the answers.

How do I respond when my child says close parental oversight will cause them to "go crazy" when they leave home? What do I say to a young man who wants to date my daughter? And what should we say about doctors who prescribe birth-control pills for skin problems or issues with a girl's monthly cycle? Join us with guest speaker Pam Stenzel as parents ask questions following her talk How to Raise Kids with Integrity.
Some adults have lost sight of the critical difference between the desire to be their child's friend, and the necessity of being their parent. Pam Stenzel provides helpful tips to see your child through today's moral and sexual minefield in part three of her talk: How to Raise Kids with Integrity. Don't miss her powerful emphasis that it's more important to lead our children to please God, than merely to avoid the consequences of sin.
What is the actual definition of virginity? When it comes to steering clear of sexually-transmitted diseases the definition is a lot more restrictive than many people realize. And that shouldn't surprise us, given that even a recent U.S. President had trouble defining whether or not he had sex with a woman other than his wife. Pam Stenzel provides straight-talk on sex, and help for parents, in part two of her presentation: How to Raise Kids with Integrity.
In the high school class of 1967, one of every 32 students had a sexually-transmitted disease. By 1983 the ratio had worsened to 1-in-18. In 2006, it increased again to 1-in-4. If your child has sex today with a person who is not a virgin, their chances of avoiding some kind of disease are almost zero. So how do we parent in an age where a lack of sexual restraint too-often means sterility or worse? Pam Stenzel joins us for the first of three sessions on How to Raise Kids with Integrity.
