People have created a variety of illustrations to try to explain the Trinity. But none of them do justice to the majesty of God. The question is: Can the problem of the Trinity be resolved by the finite mind?
Series: The Biography of God
Understanding the trinity is beyond man's understanding. So the best thing to do is just let God speak about it through the scripture - and the scripture teaches this doctrine as fact.
Series: The Biography of God
It's not easy to relate to an all-knowing, everywhere-present, all-powerful God. But the Trinity is one of the most difficult of all the Christian doctrines. The natural man always struggles with the supernatural.
Series: The Biography of God
As shown in Isaiah 6, man needs to be purified of his unholiness before he can stand in the presence of a Holy God. That's the significance of the Cross, where Christ became the perfect sacrifice for sin.
Series: The Biography of God
The holiness of God is the essence of His nature - more than His love, or His grace, or His mercy. When Isaiah saw a vision of God, he felt a deep conviction because he saw his own unholiness.

Psalm 139 says that God knew you from the time you were in your mother's womb. It says that all your days were known to God before you even existed. God knows you, and He cares for you.

In Psalm 139, David says that God's work is marvelous. And despite today's widespread belief in evolution, there is evidence of God's power everywhere, from the galaxies of outer space to the intricacy of the human body.
Series: The Biography of God
The thing about God's omnipresence is that nothing can hide you from Him. Not death, not distance, not darkness - nothing. But that should be a source of comfort to those who trust in Him.
Series: The Biography of God
In Psalm 139 David asks where he can flee from the presence of God. But it's really a statement rather than a question. There's nowhere anyone can hide from the presence of God.
Series: The Biography of God
In Psalm 139, David marvels at the knowledge of God. He says that God knows all our movements, all our motives, and all our moments. So his reaction is to bow to the majesty of God.
Series: The Biography of God
Someone has estimated that man's knowledge doubles every 18 months. But that is insignificant compared to the knowledge of God. God knows literally everything - past, present and future.
Series: The Biography of God
In Exodus 34, God describes Himself as abounding in goodness and truth, and as merciful and forgiving. The question is: when people look at you, do they see those traits? Do they see a resemblance to God?
Series: The Biography of God
Host Chip Lusko is in the studio for a First Friday interview with Skip and Lenya Heitzig. They will be discussing Lenya's recent cancer diagnosis, and how her treatment is going.
In the Bible, people's names reveal their reputation, their character, and their authority. When God identifies Himself to Moses, He uses words that mean "merciful," "gracious," and "long-suffering."
Series: The Biography of God
Many people search for something more in the Christian life - more power, more blessings, more glory. But are you as excited about the words of God as you are about His wonders? Join Skip for the conclusion of "I'm God...and You're Not!"
Series: The Biography of God
Exodus 34 is a unique portion of scripture. It is God's autobiography. God tells Moses what He's like, and He gives a list of His attributes. But Moses wants more; he wants to see God's glory.
Series: The Biography of God
According to Psalm 19, the Word of God can satisfy our minds and hearts, and it can provide truth to help us through life. But in order for it to do that, we must value it, and we must obey it. Join Skip for the conclusion of "'Now Hear This!' How Does God Speak?"
Series: The Biography of God
The Bible says, "The heavens declare the glory of God," but observing the universe doesn't tell us anything specific about His plan. God speaks to us though the Bible, which tells us how to return to Him.
Series: Can God Be Known?
To find clues to God's existence, you only have to look at the universe and ask "Where did it come from?" Or you can look within, at your own sense of right and wrong. Where did that come from?
Series: Can God Be Known?
Philosophers say that everything which exists must have a cause. The Bible says that the natural world shows God's glory, and that He has left His imprint on the world--and within people.
