Is There Life After Sin?
Friday, November 06, 2009
Jill Briscoe
David did that which was right in the eyes of the Lord and turned not aside from anything that He commanded, save only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite (I Kings 15:5). David broke seven of the ten commandments in one night of sensual indulgence. Sin is coming short of God's standard and has consequences. Is there any sin too big for God to forgive? Can someone who has sinned be restored and renewed? Can God use them again? In other words, is there "life after sin"?

The Elephant in the Room

Somehow we manage to shove the elephant through the door of the Throne Room and pretend he's not there! Jill shares a story about her own elephant and how God saw past it.

Doing My "To Do's"
In between two overseas trips, packing and unpacking, prayer lists, speaking commitments, and the need to get her flowers in the ground and the deer away from her hostas, Jill Briscoe felt overwhelmed with her ever-growing "to do" lists.
