The scientific method involves experimentation and the validation of results. Since there's no way to re-enact the moment of creation, this won't work. Science must give way to faith, and that troubles many: people who've adopted evolution, an issue that's carved a great divide between those who believe the Bible and those who scorn it. Today: we'll hear God speak from the pages of Job on how everything really came to be.
Series: The Darwin Delusion
For Darwin's followers, there was no Eden. Primitive man rose up by pure chance from the primeval slime, and, here we are. The Bible gives an account with no chances. God hand-made the first human man and woman, and gave them a place to live with a mandate to serve Him as custodians of the earth. While the world celebrates Darwin's theories, believers know that it was God, not chance, that brought male and female together.
Series: The Darwin Delusion
Evolutionists have a tough sell. It's one thing to say life developed by chance. It's another to say how it all started. Untold quadrillions of stars, planets and galaxies all argue that a Designer put them there. Pure chance can't create anything...something had to set it all in motion. Today, a look at the virtual infinity that is the universe we live in...fit to honor the One who made it all.
Series: The Darwin Delusion
Charles Darwin made history with On the Origin of Species, the book that launched evolution on its way. Now, the battle lines are drawn. Christians believe in a Creator God. Evolutionists believe in random chance. The bottom line: if there's no God, there's no one to judge our behavior. And a lot of people would like that just fine.
Series: The Darwin Delusion
When the economy is in trouble, everyone feels the pinch. Some lose jobs, others lose homes. Many people are losing their sense of security. Anxiety is on the rise, since Washington's solutions are not fixing the underlying issues. As the New Year unfolds, it's a good time to remember where true security comes from, and, to send our roots down deep into the waters that never run out.
Series: Finding a Stream in the Desert
As the old year ends and the New Year beckons, it's a good time to focus on that which is really important. And when all is said and done, the one thing which is most important is the glory of God.
Series: Getting Closer To God
At Christmas, we think of Mary, a woman who faced a life she never expected, but yet, a life she was willing to undertake as a servant of the Lord. To bear the Son of God and raise him to adulthood meant both joy as well as sorrow. To watch your son die on a cross and know His sacrifice was not just for the world, but for you, was a pain no other mother has ever faced.
Series: Mary, the Mother of Jesus
No other mother who ever lived had to face the pressures of bearing the Son of God. Mary was granted a unique privilege, but also the awesome responsibility of raising a boy who would be the Messiah of Israel and the Savior of the world. How she coped with her situation is our focus on the next two Moody Church Hour broadcasts.
Series: Mary, the Mother of Jesus
They are among the most soaring words ever penned. The Apostle Paul concludes his famous eighth chapter of Romans by listing all the things that cannot separate us from the love of God. If you're treading some deep water right now, and need some encouragement, you've come to the right place.

How would you feel if you got a letter saying that an unknown benefactor had died, leaving you ten million dollars? You were an heir to a fortune, and did not know it. Well, that's exactly what you are as a child of God. In the book of Romans, we read: "The Spirit bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs...joint heirs with Christ."
Series: Children Of An Awesome God
When the economy is tanking, we may not find much encouragement in our surroundings. Many of us are fearful for the future. But for the Christian, this is a good reminder that our real security and treasure lies in the world to come. This is the teaching we find in the book of Romans, teaching that can transform our outlook as it changes our lives.
Series: Children Of An Awesome God
When summer comes, most of us experience hot temperatures, and enjoy cool drinks to allay our thirst. As much as we need water for our bodies, we need God for our souls. Israel's King David went through some desperate times in his life, times during which all that could sustain him was an equally desperate need for God.
Series: Selections from the Psalms

Without a sure foundation, the ups and downs we face can toss us to and fro like leaves in the wind. What we need is some solid ground to walk on, and today we'll find it. Stay with us.
Series: Selections from the Psalms
If the Lord brought a revival of repentance to a city, most of God's people would rejoice. But not Jonah. He felt double-crossed...God withheld the judgment Jonah had prophesied against Ninevah. Today: God teaches a lesson to a man who still rebelled even after surviving a fish's belly.
Series: Brokenness
Some believers will only obey God after He teaches them a lesson the hard way. Jonah finally went to Ninevah, a little the worse for wear after three days inside a fish. Even then, the prophet of God was not happy that wicked Ninevites might repent. Today: part three in the saga of an unwilling servant of God.
