Don't wait until you get sick to spend some quality time alone with God. Allow your world to slow down and remember his command to "Be still, and know that I am God." Relish His presence!
Whether we're coming to Jesus as little children climbing into His lap, or sitting at His feet as Mary did, we all come as sinners and His arms are open wide as we accept His forgiveness.
John 3:30 says, "He must increase, but I must decrease." How does that look in our everyday life? Are we becoming "grown-ups" -- letting go -- letting God?
The title speaks of a car that she does not own, but Lucy compares it to our new life in Christ and how we are to care for our bodies that are no longer ours, but His.
"Come unto Me and I will give you rest," and "take up your cross and follow Me." What do these two commands of Jesus have in common? Lucy tells of two meetings and two crosses.
We can be walking in fog or we can feel like our souls are fogged in. Lucy shares how fog narrows our world down and refocuses us, but how the fog lifts in Jesus' light.
Usually claustrophobic in "close" situations, Lucy shares her experience visiting the Christian catacombs in Rome and how she felt she was on hallowed ground.
In reading John 21:12a, Lucy says, "It's one of the most beautiful scenes in the Bible and it feeds my soul. Can you imagine the scene?"
Thank the dear Lord that He looks on us with a different perspective than we do. What we might see as "tacky," He sees as terrific. And it's because of His perspective that we can flourish and because of His gift -- our Lord -- we can thrive. Grow in His grace!
Have you ever had a magical person in your life -- when you were with them, the world was just a little bit brighter? Lucy shares some thoughts about a couple of "magical" people in her life.
Anticipation is a wonderful state -- it's bottled joy about to pop!
Lucy ponders the "grayness" of the day, even in her most favorite spot. Somehow knowing that we're not alone and that our Lord Jesus made this beautiful world can help us see the beauty and feel His presence, no matter what our circumstances and surroundings.
Have you had an "invasion of glory" sometime in your life?
We are living -- our whole lives -- in an Advent season. The King is coming! Get ready with the same anticipation as a child on Christmas Eve.
Lucy explores one of C.S. Lewis' ideas -- of us being "bent people."
A church anniversary gathering leads Lucy's thoughts to what it will be like when we're all gathered together and united in Him for all eternity.
Questions are very important and this one leads to another one, "Who do you say that I am?"
What do you think about writing your own praise song for what the Lord has done for you?
Old and New Testament examples of how God did and does make a way.

It is What it Is
