The Israelites during the Exodus became known for their grumbling. Even after the incredible Crossing-the-Red-Sea miracle they complained within three days! How could they!? Before we get too pumped up, maybe we should examine ourselves. The Israelites weren't asking the questions "Is there a God?" or "Is He powerful?" Their grumbling problem was much deeper. Better questions would have been: "Are we willing to let Him test our faith until we’re strong enough to possess our promises?" and "Do we believe He loves us and still has a great plan for our lives?" How would you answer those questions? Do they stir up feelings of discontentment? This is a great message for recognizing and adjusting incorrect attitudes that we, much like the Israelites, harbor deep within us.
