True and False Unity Part 1 Monday, August 24, 2009
Philippians 1:27 describes Christian unity as "striving together for the faith of the gospel." In many churches today, Christians who strive for the faith of the gospel are labeled "divisive" by church leaders. This two part series will show how leaders who do not preach the gospel are the real enemies of Christian unity.

The author of Hebrews calls the congregation to remember the days when they were willing to suffer for Christ. He does this to comfort them and exhort them to press forward and not shrink back. He calls all Christians to endure in faithfulness to God.
This is yet another warning against apostasy in Hebrews. Apostates have trample Christ under foot, regarded His blood as defiled, and insulted the Holy Spirit. Therefore they face certain judgment.
