The beautiful words in Song of Solomon 2:10 describe the blessings of springtime. It is a delightful season in which God's power is displayed. Cold winds of winter have given way to warm breezes and barren shrubs and trees are now filled with lovely flowers. It’s a reminder that God is a covenant-keeping God. He promised that that there will always be seedtime and harvest and the changing of seasons confirms that God is still ruling over the earth.
We think of springtime with reference to the coming of Jesus into the world. There was much darkness in those old times when God's people failed to show gratitude for their many deliverances, and religion had become but an empty form. But the coming of Jesus was a time of renewal, the Light of the World had arrived. The warm message of the gospel was proclaimed and there was joy in the hearts of those who received the good news.
Let's pray for a springtime of blessings to come upon the church in our day and we hear the Savior saying, "Arise, My love!"

It is hard to imagine a more simple explanation of the origin of our universe, and yet few statements in the Bible have been more hotly debated, even among Christians, than these opening words from the book of Genesis. Many question whether the narrative in the first book of the Bible is trustworthy and can be taken literally. In this segment of a message from a larger series, we are called back to confidence in the Bible as God's infallible Word and are reminded of the only One Who was there…in the beginning.

"When Thou saidst, Seek ye My face; my heart said unto Thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek." Psalm 27:8
Four things stand out as we read through Psalm 27—Confidence, "The Lord is my salvation;" Commitment, "One thing have I desired;" Comfort, "the Lord will take me up;" Courage, "He shall strengthen thine heart."
When the Lord said, "Seek ye My face," the Psalmist made a commitment. He said "Thy face, Lord, will I seek." The Lord sometimes calls by convicting of sin, sometimes by unusual providences, sometimes by making us aware of our own emptiness and sometimes just by the pressure of daily duties. Is He calling you today? Let us respond with David, "Thy face Lord will I seek."

"This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him; and saved him out of all his troubles." Psalm 34:6
In this Psalm we see David described as being alone, poor, troubled, and mournful. But we also see that he was hopeful. His appeal was simple, he cried to the Lord, he described his need, and the good new is; God heard him. There was a great deliverance, and the promise is made that although "many are the afflictions of the righteous...the Lord delivereth him out of them all."

"And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also; knowing that tribulation worketh patience; and patience, experience, and experience, hope: and hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us." Romans 5:3-5
When we are suffering physically or passing through a time of great trial, it doesn't seem possible that any good could ever come out of it. Yet Paul says we glory in tribulations and the reason we do is that something good is going to come out of the trial. The suffering itself is not good but the patience, the experience, and the hope that that springs from it is very good.
The Scriptures describe various ways in which good may come from our sufferings. In this message, we will look at eight of them. It is our prayer that if you are passing through a difficult time, you will find hope and courage in this message, and if you know of someone who is suffering you may want to encourage them to listen as well.

"And she shall bring forth a son and thou shalt call His name JESUS: for He shall save His people from their sins." Matthew 1:21
The theme of our Anniversary month is Jesus Saves. Today we invite you to listen to a portion of the message which we are giving to all who write us during February. This text says a lot about our Savior and His work. He was given the name Jesus by divine appointment because His name means savior and He came to save. He saves sinners and that speaks of grace. Sinners deserve nothing and so, apart from grace, there would be no hope for them. But what good to news to one who has been convicted of sin to hear that Jesus saves sinners and saves them from their sins!
