If we “live after the flesh,” the Scripture says we “shall die,” but if we learn how to mortify the deeds of the body, through the Spirit, “we shall live” (Romans 8:13). We must yield the members of our body as instruments of righteousness unto God, and not as instruments of unrighteousness (Romans 6:13), and as we reckon ourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:11), the Holy Spirit will deliver us unto death for Jesus' sake. This death is “the dying of the Lord Jesus” and being “delivered unto death for Jesus' sake” (2 Corinthians 4:10-11). It is this dying that purges the soul and kills the self life, moment by moment.
Click here to read this article.Back to the Cross™, brought to you by the Back to the Cross™ Evangelistic Team, exists to proclaim the message of the cross to the entire world. In the message of the cross is found the answer to the question: "How do I experience the life of Christ as my very own daily experience?" The apostle Paul described his life this way, "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me" and, "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain."
We believe that the key to making this life a reality in our life is found in personal study of, and obedience to the Scripture, in order to enter into this message. For more information about us and our vision, visit our website at: www.backtothecross.org.
