The Narrow WaySunday, September 16, 2007To be sure, the Lord Jesus Christ referred to life being a journey in His teaching of important Biblical precepts. In today’s Scripture passage, taken from His Sermon on the Mount, Jesus uses the analogy of two roads by which you can pass from this life into Eternity. Of the two, Jesus tells us that only one, the narrow road, is the way to life everlasting with Him. Each of us has been given the freedom to choose which road we will take. Hosts of Wonderful Words of Life
The hosts on Wonderful Words of Life are all members of The Salvation Army. The speaker is Lt. Colonel Vern Jewett, Divisional Commander of the Florida Division. His life-long experience in ministering to others, as well as his preaching and teaching of the Scriptures is evident in the friendly and communicative style he brings to the microphone. Co-hosting the program is Major Willis Howell, Divisional Commander of the North and South Carolina Division. The guest co-host for this series is Major Vivian Childs, Director of Inter-Cultural Ministries for The Salvation Army Southern Territory. With much enthusiasm these two engage in dynamic dialogue as they share listeners’ feedback, personal stories, or guest interviews before previewing the message for the day.
