Welcome,
We wish you a "belated" Thanksgiving Day greeting and pray the Lord will richly bless all of you during this special Thanksgiving season.
In 1620, a few dedicated people left Europe and sailed to America – bringing the Bible with them. They had suffered for their faith – persecuted, imprisoned – simply because they sought freedom to worship the Lord as they chose.
Sadly, in the new land they suffered even greater hardships. Many didn't survive. After their first harvest, those who did survive gathered to thank the Lord – that was the first Thanksgiving Day.
Isn't it amazing how history repeats itself? Even now there are those, like the pilgrims, searching for the freedom that only God can give them. They have the same urgent hunger to escape this sin-cursed world; to find the joy, peace, and love found in worshiping the true God, our Living Savior. In fact, most of the world is suffering, not only from hunger, but from famine – not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord (Amos 8:11).
We are greatly encouraged in knowing there are those like you, who are taking time to read the Bible with us every day. Many have sent enthusiastic e-mails detailing how reading the Word of God daily is changing their lives. God has provided just one Book for mankind and tells us that All Scripture . . . is profitable (II Tim. 3:16-17). Therefore, if all Scripture is profitable then it must be unprofitable to neglect any of it.
We encourage everyone to read His Word and learn how to make it a reality, personally. Jesus said: My Word shall not return unto me void (Matt. 28:18-20). And although we realize you are an "Internet" user, we thought you might have family, friends, church acquaintances, or others who might be interested in a printed copy for themselves. We will send you (postage free) as many FREE copies of the January Bible Pathway 2010 printed edition as you request. Just send us an e-mail: mail@biblepathway.org, or call 1-800-598-7884, with names and addresses. The Holy Spirit will do the rest, and together we will Praise the Lord.
Sincerely – Pastor Rick
