Ryan Dobson
With the conviction that comes from knowing your purpose—and loving every minute of it—Ryan Dobson passionately pursues his calling in Christ.
Born in 1970, Ryan grew up as the second of two children of famous family psychologist, author and radio host Dr. James Dobson. While many pushed him to follow in his father’s footsteps, Ryan took the time to explore his own gifts while trusting in Jesus as his guide. After graduating from college, Ryan found his natural talent for public speaking, combined with his passion for youth.
As opportunities continued to arise, Ryan founded KOR Ministries in 2002 to fulfill his desire to “build passion and identity in Christ followers”. The flagship of this work, his KOR Kast radio show and podcast, attracted an international audience with hundreds of thousands of listeners. Then life came full circle in 2010, when Ryan joined his father on-air with the daily 1/2-hour radio show “My Family Talk”. The program was an immediate success after being the largest launch of a radio program in U.S. history. Ryan still hosts his own show—now called “Grounded with Ryan Dobson”.
LuAnne Crane The middle child of five, LuAnne grew up in a strong Christian family, including time as a missionary kid in rural South Africa. LuAnne attended Roberts Wesleyan College, earning a degree in Elementary Education.
For the next 25 years, she served with Dr. Dobson at Focus on the Family. After about a year on staff, she transferred to the Broadcasting Department and found a life-long passion.
Married in May of 1984, Steve and LuAnne now have four wonderful children. Their daughter is married and their three sons are all full-time students (including one each in college, high school, and elementary school.)
