Let me hear your voice

1 Samuel 3:9 ‘Speak, Lord; for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in his place.’KJV

I love this scripture because it always reminds me of the importance of a ear that has to be trained to hear the voice of God. When Samuel heard the voice calling him, he immediately went to Eli because that was the voice that was familiar to him. He didn't need a confirmation  of the voice that he heard everyday or the voice that was common to him. However, he needed a confirmation of the new, the unknown, the unfamiliar or the next dimension of hearing.

God is awaking the inner ear of His children to hear His voice and respond without waiting for human acknowledgement in obeying His voice.

The challenge for every believer is to hear the voice of God above what is familiar to us in our everyday schedule called life.
