James 1:23-25

For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror; for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has immediately forgotten what kind of person he was. But one who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man will be blessed in what he does.

The Bible is God's mirror, showing me the things that need to change in my life!

Why do you look in a mirror? To see if everything is in order. Maybe you missed a spot while shaving; maybe your make-up needs more blending; maybe your hair needs brushing; maybe your shirt needs a button done up.

Whatever it is that the mirror shows you what needs to be fixed, you are grateful to see it. You do something about it and walk away from the mirror better than before.

This passage points out how foolish it would be to see something in the mirror that needs fixing and do nothing about it.

Is there something that God has been speaking to you about in His Word, but you have not done anything about it? Are you ignoring God's voice in your heart? Why don't you stop ignoring Him today and respond to Him right now?
