Evangelism

God’s desire is to see people repent of their sins and place their trust in Jesus Christ. Nothing in all the world could be more urgent or important. Amazingly, God has granted us the privilege of being the avenue through which he does this work. When we consider the immense ramifications of this life-changing transaction, we quickly realize that none of our life’s activities or accomplishments will compare with the honor of being used to bring someone into the family of God. With that in view, it makes sense that the Apostle Paul would say that he did not see his life of any real value unless he was faithful to “testify to the gospel of the grace of God” (Ac.20:24). Of course there are several important things we can do this week, but all of them will pale by comparison to the eternal importance of proclaiming the saving message of Christ and his call to repentance and faith. So don’t let good things squeeze out the important. Don’t allow “better” things to keep you from doing what is best. Set your sights on representing God and his gospel.
