Training Our Youth
By: Rick Boxx
June 20, 2012

While teaching a personal finance class to some young adults at my daughter’s dance studio, I was reminded of how much easier it is to lead young people towards good habits than fixing the problems that come from years of bad habits.

Over the years I’ve counseled many business leaders running businesses counter to God’s wisdom. I’ve also had the opportunity to train young people who are at the beginning of their career. Both are important, but preparing our youth will likely bear longer term fruit.

Ecclesiastes 4:13 teaches, “Better a poor but wise youth than an old but foolish king who no longer knows how to heed a warning.”

In your workplace, don’t forget the importance of teaching God’s wisdom to your young leaders. They are your future!
