The Boil Order
By Rick Boxx
July 7, 2011
Our county was placed under a “Boil Order” when a dead raccoon caused a water pipe rupture. 400,000 people were told not to use their water until declared safe. Behind the scenes there’s likely a leader who chose to do the right thing in spite of huge risks.
Imagine telling the restaurants and stores in your community to shut down their fountain drink sales, or informing the entire service area to go without water on one of the hottest days of the year. It would have been easier to cover it up.
Psalm 106:3 teaches, “Blessed are those who act justly, who always do what is right.”
In spite of the inconvenience, I’m glad we have a local water department willing to do the right thing.
