Bankers Praying?
by Rick Boxx
February 9, 2010

For many reasons, a banker's 5 year old bank had never been profitable. The examiners demanded $4 million in new capital to strengthen the bank, or the bank would be liquidated. Raising capital with their circumstances seemed nearly impossible.

This banker and his executive team soon went to their knees in prayer. "May your will be done Lord," they prayed. As they finished, an associate entered with a check for $1 million. Over the next week they raised $6 million and began turning investors away.

Jesus said in Matthew 18:19, "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven."

Although our prayers have to line up with God's will, He desires us to seek him corporately.
