The Pizza Gorge

According to a Wall Street Journal article, traditional economic theory says that "people who pay a flat price will eat until satisfied and then quit." That's not what happened at a Pizza Garden restaurant in Illinois.

 

Their research discovered; those who paid more ate more. Patrons who received a 50% off coupon ate 2.95 slices of pizza, while those who paid full price ate 4.09 pieces.

 

Pizza Garden's research provided knowledge that countered theory and traditions. Knowledge is critical for properly pricing products and services.

 

Proverbs 24:3-4 teaches, "By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; and by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches."

 

When developing your business strategies be sure to acquire enough knowledge. I suspect Pizza Garden is glad they did.
