Compassionate Competitors
by Rick Boxx
December 25, 2009

An inspiring video titled "The Home Run" by the Responsibility Project recounts a true story about a girl's softball team down 2 points in the last inning. The team rallies; placing a runner on first and second. The next batter smacks a home run.

Tragically, as she rounds second base her leg gets tangled up and down she goes. As her teammates try to help, the umpire declares she has to finish touching each base, without the help of her teammates. Amazingly, two of the opposing team carries her around the bases to score the winning run.

Philippians 2:4 teaches, "Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others."

Competition can get fierce in business, but there are times to show your competitors compassion.
