Touting your Testimonials
by Rick Boxx

Dr. Huy and Dr. Zott, summarized their research on organizational credibility in the Wall Street Journal. They identified four areas entrepreneurs should focus on to enhance their reputation. The third one is your "Track Record."

Many young organizations have difficulty in getting customers or investors to give them a chance until they have significant accomplishments. Drs. Huy and Zott suggest that looking for wins, and communicating those successes, is critical to building long term credibility.

One of the best ways to do this is to build a file of testimonials and communicate them on your website or in person.

Proverbs 27:2 teaches, "Let another praise you, and not your own mouth; someone else, and not your own lips."

To enhance your reputation, ask your customers for testimonies, then humbly use them to promote your capabilities.
