According to The Wall Street Journal, Dr. Hurley, the author of “The Decision to Trust,” describes 5 steps helpful in building trust within an organization.
1. Show that your interests are the same.
2. Demonstrate concern for others.
3. Deliver on your promises.
4. Be consistent and honest.
5. Communicate frequently, clearly and openly.
1 Peter 5:2 teaches, “Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, serving as overseers not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not greedy for money, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock.”
For your employees and customers to trust you and your organization, people need to see a good model and know you care.
