Paul's Minimum Standards
by Rick Boxx
April 12, 2010
A group of business and life coaches and me began discussing the merits of forming a network of coaches dedicated to integrating our faith based teaching into their client sessions.
Then we discussed if any minimum standards were necessary for coaches to be accepted. That's when I remembered my morning devotional.
1 Corinthians 5:11 teaches, "But now I am writing you that you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat."
To meet God's standards we decided to not only verify that the coaches comply with Apostle Paul's test, but also that we have a discipline process for those who might stray later.
