Pray for Me 
This devotional was written by Leslie Snyder

In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence…For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. Ephesians 3: 12, 14

The story is told of a mother who had been teaching her three-year-old daughter the Lord's Prayer. For several evenings at bedtime, the child would repeat after her the lines from the prayer. Finally, the little girl decided to go solo. The mother listened with pride as her daughter carefully enunciated each word, right up to the end of the prayer: "Lead us not into temptation," she prayed, "but deliver us some E-mail. Amen."

Have you ever wanted to pray for someone, but not known exactly what to say?  The next time that happens, try this prayer, straight from Scripture.

I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.  And I pray that you being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:16-19

There is nothing more powerful than prayer, and to pray Scripture for someone places him or her in the center of the Word of God.  So, the next time you’re at a loss for words when someone asks you to pray, go straight to the Word. Let the Scriptures guide you in your prayers.
