Dreams Come True
Genesis 37:19 says, “Here comes that dreamer, they said to each other. ‘Come now. Let’s kill him. Throw him into one of those cisterns and say that a ferocious animal devoured him. Then we will see what comes of his dreams.’” Joseph had a dream and his brothers tried to kill him for it. There are people in your life today who do not want your dreams to come true. But dreams do come true!
You need to have a dream and you can because dreams come from God who is the creative genius of the universe. He is the creator and he is constantly dropping creative thoughts into our minds. The question is not do you have a dream, but will you receive the dream that God wants to place into your life? If other people can have their dreams fulfilled you can too. Dreams are not only for a select group they are available for everyone.
You have to receive that dream. You have to love it, you have to nurture it, you have to respect it, you have to resource it. It is one thing to have a dream it is another to do something with it. Your dream can become a reality, it absolutely positively can. There are so many changes that need to happen in our families, in our schools, in our workplace, in our community, in our world. How are those going to happen? They are going to happen because people have dreams and they do something with those dreams. Those dreams end up making an incredible positive difference in other people’s lives, as well as your own.
This is why you have to keep your dream alive because so many forces will come in the way. Look what happened to Joseph. His own family members tried to mess with his dream. I have discovered that many people’s approach to dreamers is to respond to them with criticism and discouragement.
But dreams have a way of attracting the support that is needed from all kinds of sources; the right people, the right resources, the right timing. God brings them together. That is how dreams get fulfilled. It takes other people. You will never get to where you want to go in the fulfillment of your dream without the support and help of others. And that is why you have to help other people pursue their dreams and they will help you pursue yours.
