April 7

"Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; For the LORD GOD is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation." Therefore you will joyously draw water from the springs of salvation. - Isaiah 12:2-3

Humanity has drunk from many wells in its trek across history, trying to slake its thirst. Cain gulped deep from the fountain of power, and remained dry. His descendants at Babel sought satisfaction with technology and the building of the tower, but stayed thirsty. Zipping forward in time, medieval thinkers dipped into the trough of philosophy, Enlightenment scholastics rationalism, modern man slurped from science and post-modern humanity from the occult. Yet thirst is pandemic. God alone is the well in the desert of existence, and those who go to Him to satisfy their parched souls find an inexhaustible fount.
