Wess Stafford
Speak Up With Compassion®

Dr. Wesley K. Stafford, President of Compassion International, grew up in a remote village in West Africa with his missionary parents – developing a lifelong passion to help the poor and needy. Wess moved to the U.S. in his teens – not realizing God would use him to impact thousands of impoverished children!

After 15 years with Compassion, Wess became president in 1993. He's a graduate of Moody Bible Institute, Biola University, Wheaton College Graduate School and Michigan State University.

Wess' award-winning book, Too Small to Ignore: Why The Least of These Matters Most is the powerful story of his boyhood adventures in Africa, his dramatic calling to minister to children, and why we as Christians are called to speak up for children.

Wess is married to Donna and has two daughters, Jennifer and Kathryn; they live near Colorado Springs, Colorado.
