Jesus as Lord

Matt. 16:24 Then Jesus told his disciples, "If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.

I used to be very much a "my way or the highway" kind of guy. 

So it was a big thing for me to hand my life over to God.  Not just too kind of believe in Jesus from a distance - but to make Him LORD of my life.  There's a big difference.

What I've discovered is that on the one hand, you have to give some stuff up to do that.  You just do.

On the other hand - I can do so much more now, because instead of having to do it all in my own strength - He shows up in every part of my life - and as I look back on the journey and think WOW - I could never have done those things on my own.

Our natural instinct - is to be in charge, to do it our way…….problem is that job belongs to God.  And it's hard work.

Can I ask you something?  What is it in your life?  What do you need to let go of - to make Jesus the Lord of your life?
