Unfinished Business
By Rick Boxx

For years, a generous lady supplied money for many communities to obtain clean water. On many occasions, she expressed to a friend of mine her desire for her estate to continue funding her passion after her death.

Upon her death, my friend learned she never created a will. Instead of helping the needy, her money was given to people she didn’t like, and used for things she wouldn’t have appreciated.

King Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes 2:21, “For a man may do his work with wisdom, knowledge and skill, and then he must leave all he owns to someone who has not worked for it. This too is meaningless and a great misfortune.”

Good stewardship requires proper succession and estate planning. Have you properly documented your end of life intentions?
