Rosaria Butterfield believed her personal experience told her the truth about something. But as she studied the Bible, she began to see God’s truth as bigger than her own. Rosaria recalls her first time sitting under the teaching of her friend, pastor Ken Smith, at a Presbyterian church and realizing through John 7:17 that she could pray that she would will to do God’s will. Over time she began asking God if he could make a woman like her a godly woman. Rosaria talks about the day she surrendered to Christ and what she gained, and gave up, as a result.
