Don’t Play With Fire
By: Rick Boxx
May 29, 2012

While attending a retreat, I met a young man who confessed that his life was a disaster due to his addiction to pornography. It had wreaked havoc on his marriage and on his work.

He shared the consequences of being heavily immersed in pornography “I’ve lost multiple jobs and my performance has been terrible, due to this addiction,” he shared. “I no longer think clearly.”

Proverbs 6:25-27 teaches, “Do not lust in your heart after her beauty or let her captivate you with her eyes. For a prostitute can be had for a loaf of bread, but another man’s wife preys on your very life. Can a man scoop fire into his lap without his clothes being burned?”

Pornography addiction is like chasing multiple prostitutes. Don’t let it destroy you!
