Building Trust – Serve

The S in the TRUST acronym we’ve been exploring is for “Serve.” Serving others at their point of need requires that we be observant, then look for creative ways to serve them.
Peter and Andrew were professional fishermen who had fished all night without catching anything. Jesus realized they probably felt like failures and were frustrated. Jesus served Peter in the way that was most meaningful to Peter; providing a successful fishing experience. He told Peter to try again.
In Luke 5:6 we learn, “When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break.”
This resulted in Peter repenting and following Jesus the rest of his life. If you desire loyalty in your staff, look for ways to creatively serve them.
