Jesus' Message to the Thirsty, Part 2
Sunday, May 20, 2012

“In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto Me, and drink. He that believeth on Me, as the scriptures hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water” (John 7:37-38).

We first see here a significant need. Jesus speaks to those who are thirsty, and we look at several Scriptures which promise blessings to those who thirst — those who come to recognize their great need.

We then see an adequate solution. Here is a warm word of welcome, “Let him come unto Me, and drink.” Come to Me — not to the law, not to religious rites, but come to Me — come to Jesus Christ.

And then we see an abundant blessing. Not only will that soul who comes to Jesus and drinks of the living water be refreshed and satisfied, but also rivers of water will flow from their lives.

Are you thirsty? Jesus says, “Come.”

"Jesus Is the Christ" Vol. 4 CD

“These are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name” (John 20:31).

The evident emphasis of John is the deity of Jesus. But this is no dry apologetic work; it is the divine expression of the deep love of God for his people, and the deep adoration with which we ought to respond.

Join Lasserre Bradley, Jr. on this exploration of the infinite grace and truth that have been revealed through Jesus Christ.

Volume 4 includes 10 messages on John 6:22 – John 7:38

The Cross of Christ
The cross is the pivot-point of history. It is the impetus and standard for morality. And it is the center stage of theology.
